Personal care at home in Cheshire
Who it suits: Someone managing at home but finding mornings a struggle.
Personal care is the part people find hardest to ask for. Our carers are experienced enough to make it unremarkable — practical, unhurried and without any fuss.
Care is person-centred and tailored to the individual, whether that is a single 30-minute call or four visits through the day and evening. We work around the routine that already exists rather than imposing a new one.
The same carers come each time wherever we possibly can. Being washed and dressed by someone you know is a completely different experience from being washed and dressed by a stranger.

What we help with
- Washing, showering and bathing, with dignity kept intact
- Dressing and undressing, getting up and settling down
- Medication prompts and support
- Meal preparation, and making sure food is actually eaten
- Continence support, handled matter-of-factly

A hot meal, a drink, and a check that the morning has gone to plan.

Lovely Rapport
Mum has been receiving care from Brighter Days for the last year and receives 4 visits a day. During that time Mum has built a lovely rapport with all the carers and had grown very fond of all of them.

Questions we get asked
- Do you do double-handed calls?
- Where moving and handling needs two carers, yes. It's a safety requirement rather than an upsell, and we'll explain exactly why if it applies.
- What's the shortest visit you'll do?
- Thirty minutes. Plenty of agencies insist on an hour minimum — we don't, because a half-hour morning call is genuinely all some people need.
Where we provide personal care
Start with a free visit, not a commitment
We come out, meet you at home and talk through what would actually help. There is no charge for the visit and no obligation at the end of it.
