Nothing analytical runs until you accept it. If you haven't made a choice, or you've said no, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics script is loaded at all, it isn't loaded-but-disabled, it simply isn't there.

We store one item in your browser to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so we don't ask you every time. It contains nothing but that choice, and it never leaves your device.

If you accept, we load Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Google Analytics tells us which pages people find useful and which they leave, with your IP address anonymised. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move around a page, scrolling and taps, and builds heatmaps, so we can see where the site is confusing. Both set cookies in your browser.

Anything you type into the enquiry form is hidden from Clarity's recordings. We use these tools only to improve the website. We don't use them to identify you, and we don't combine them with anything else.

By law we have to show our Care Quality Commission rating on this website, so some pages show the CQC's own rating badge. It is loaded directly from the CQC's website, www.cqc.org.uk, which means your browser contacts the CQC and they can see your IP address, the same as visiting any website.

When we checked it, the badge set no cookies. It is not analytics, and it does not follow you anywhere.

Clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies entirely, the website works exactly the same either way.

The old version of this website used Google reCAPTCHA on its forms, which set cookies before anyone consented. This one doesn't use it at all, spam is filtered with a hidden field that only automated software fills in, which needs no cookies and no third party.
