Accessibility statement
Last updated 27 August 2026
Most of the people using this website are either older themselves or looking for care for someone who is. A good proportion will be using screen zoom, a larger system font, or a screen reader. We have built it accordingly.
What we've done
Body text is set at 18px rather than the more usual 16px, with generous line spacing and a comfortable line length.
Colour contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA throughout. Text is never placed over photographs.
Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and has a clearly visible focus outline.
Buttons and links are at least 48 pixels tall, so they're easy to hit with an unsteady hand or a thumb.
Nothing on this site is revealed only on hover. The previous website hid the full text of its reviews behind a mouse hover, which made them unreadable on every phone and tablet — that has been fixed.
There are no auto-rotating carousels. Content that moves on its own is difficult for a lot of people to read.
The site respects your system setting if you've asked for reduced motion.
Where we know we fall short
⚠️ TO COMPLETE BEFORE LAUNCH: this section must list any genuine known issues found in the final accessibility audit, along with when we expect to fix them. Publishing a statement that claims no problems at all is neither credible nor usually true.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this website is hard to use, please tell us — ring the office or send an email and we'll fix it. If you'd rather not use the website at all, the phone number works perfectly well and always will.
